This year has brought a wave of challenges to our community, with more families feeling the weight of financial strain due to escalating living costs and the looming housing crisis. But in the face of this struggle, our belief in equality for every child burns brighter than ever. That's why, during this holiday season, we're wholeheartedly supporting Baby Gives Back, a local organisation that stands as a beacon of hope for families battling extreme hardship. They're not just helping; they're safeguarding futures and breaking the cycle of poverty. Having spent time at Baby Give Back recently, our hearts were deeply moved, compelling us to take greater action. That's why, this holiday season, we've made the heartfelt decision to volunteer at their Burleigh Heads centre.
WHO IS BABY GIVE BACK?
Baby Give Back is a Queensland charity passionate about helping vulnerable babies, children and families in our community.
The Baby Give Back team works tirelessly to ensure that vulnerable babies and children have an equal start to life. They collect, sort and safety check donated essential items (everything from clothing and nappies to cots, prams and car seats) and support families in our community by working with caseworkers and social workers to provide customised orders for each family to suit their needs and circumstances. Their priority is ensuring that all items are safe and in great condition so that families can feel the love and compassion of their community.
With the rising cost of living this year, more of our communities have found themselves falling below the poverty line. The demand for support with families is growing at a rate that Baby Give Back has never experienced before and they are rallying support so that they can better aid families in need, providing essential resources and services.
HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED
Baby Give Back relies on donations from their generous supporters to be able to provide good quality, safe baby equipment for families in crisis in South-East Queensland. They accept donations in many forms; including physical and financial donations of much needed items to support children and families. They are always grateful for any volunteers and support from the local community.
Let's join hands in making a real difference. It's not just about giving aid; it's about promising a better tomorrow. As we come together to celebrate, let's make giving the heart of our festivities—let's bring joy, support, and the promise of brighter days to those who need it most.
