WHAT DOES CLIMATE / CARBON POSITIVE MEAN?

Being "climate positive" or "carbon positive" is when a business, individual or entity takes heartfelt actions to remove more carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere or offset their carbon emissions to a greater extent than they emit. It's a commitment to go beyond merely offsetting our carbon emissions – we strive to leave the planet better than how we found it.

This involves:

Offsetting Carbon: Investing in projects that capture or reduce carbon emissions. Think of it as giving back to the environment through initiatives like reforestation, renewable energy, and carbon capture technologies.

Emission Reduction: Making changes in our daily practices and business operations to minimise our carbon footprint. This includes energy-efficient measures, renewable energy adoption, and waste reduction.

Sustainability: Embracing a sustainable way of life, with eco-friendly products, resource conservation, and waste reduction at its core.

Becoming climate or carbon positive is our way of giving back to the Earth, making it better than we found it. It's a deeply personal commitment to environmental stewardship, born from a genuine desire to address climate change and secure a brighter future for all.

 

HOW DID WE OFFSET OUR CARBON?

Through our work with 'Trace' and ‘One Tree Planted’ we have been able to plant over 3000 trees around Australia and where it is needed most. Trees are extremely efficient at carbon sequestration and one of the most effective tools in the fight against climate change. Trees convert the (CO2) into plant matter, holding this material for the life of the tree and beyond.
